"Akin to meditative processes, I allow my subconscious to dominate. Surrendering thoughtful control, intuition guides and empowers the process. Text and numerals allude to an urban environment, which connect them to my inscriptive sculpture that contain stories. The dynamic, painterly compositions amidst the shapes of found objects and various materials forge a segue between sculpture and painting.
The goal of my work is to create an emotional connection for the viewer, while giving them an opportunity to create their own personal story through my art. I believe art is truly memorable whenit stimulates contemplation, while at the same time evoking deep emotion. It is those moments that inspire me." —DG
